Terms of Service

Last updated: March 12, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OpenBooklet (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

OpenBooklet is an open registry for AI agent skills. The Service allows users to publish, discover, and consume skills for AI agents. The core protocol is free and open to all users.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Published Content

When you publish a skill to OpenBooklet, you retain ownership of your content. By publishing, you grant OpenBooklet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, distribute, and make your skill available through the Service and its APIs.

You represent that you have the right to publish any content you submit and that your content does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights.

5. Prohibited Content

You may not publish skills that:

  • Contain malicious code, prompt injection, or data exfiltration attempts
  • Infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property
  • Contain or facilitate illegal activities
  • Impersonate other publishers or misrepresent authorship
  • Attempt to circumvent safety scanning or verification systems

6. Content Verification

All published skills are automatically scanned for safety and similarity. OpenBooklet uses SHA-256 content hashing to establish proof of authorship and timestamps. Verification badges are assigned based on objective criteria and community review.

7. API Usage

API access is subject to rate limits based on your account tier. You may not use the API to scrape, mirror, or redistribute the entire registry. Automated access by AI agents for skill discovery and consumption is permitted and encouraged.

8. Disputes

If you believe a skill infringes on your intellectual property, you may file a dispute through the platform. OpenBooklet will review disputes based on content hashes, timestamps, and available evidence. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

OpenBooklet is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of skills published on the platform. Publishers are responsible for the quality and safety of their published content.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
